BERNIE’S BEACH BAR, HAMPTON

A Hampton Beach favorite, Bernie’s is often busy and has the largest deck on the strip, offering stunning views, great food, fresh fruit cocktails, a solid beer menu and nightly music. It closes in the off season but more than makes up for it during the peak summer season.

THE GOAT, HAMPTON

The Goat is a cowboy-themed tavern offering American comfort food, whiskey and regular live country music. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and although all the meals are delicious, people rave about their breakfast. Our favorite deal is the 2-for-1 burgers deal every Monday and Tuesday.

WALLY’S PUB, HAMPTON

Wally’s is a laid-back bar with a very casual and local feel to it. The crowd is wide-ranging, with seafood, pub grub and drink specials served daily. If you’re looking for a game of pool or darts, Wally’s has you covered. P.S., it is also known for hosting some of the best concerts in the area.

BOB’S LOBSTER, PLUM ISLAND

Bob’s Lobster is a one-stop shop for fried seafood, clam chowder, Lobster poutine and award-winning Lobster rolls. Stop by and pick up a clam bake to take to the beach, or eat at one of the no frills picnic tables.

MAD MARTHA’S, PLUM ISLAND

On Plum Island, just steps from the beach, is a little seaside shack you might not even notice. It is a house, converted into a restaurant called Mad Martha’s, which customers can’t get enough of. Mad Martha’s is a cozy breakfast joint sitting 36 people, it’s open until 2pm and they serve a unique and authentic variety of foods and daily specials. It’s the perfect way to start your day before heading to the beach. BYOB is highly recommended.

MARKEY’S LOBSTER POOL, SEABROOK

Located in Seabrook, NH, Markey’s has been serving traditional seafood to locals and visitors since 1971, offering a variety of fried seafood, fresh lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops, as well as crisp garden salads, burgers and homemade bisque, fish and clam chowder.

BROWN’S LOBSTER POUND, SEABROOK

Located across the street from Marky’s, Brown’s has been In operation since 1948 and has a very similar menu as Marky’s – fresh seafood, lobster, clams, mussels etc. One big difference is that Brown’s is BYOB, meaning you may bring your own beer and wine. For decades, the debate has raged on: Who's better – Marky's or Brown's? To be honest, it comes down to personal preference – both offer a nice casual seafood dining experience and we frequent both often in the summer.

THE DECK, SALISBURY

The DECK is a seasonal open-air bar and restaurant known for their burgers, seafood and tropical cocktails with stunning views of the Merrimack River. Their selection of cocktails, local brews and famous rum buckets will keep you cool. They offer complimentary valet service and live entertainment all summer long.
